On my visit it was a wet day so I took the road route, there is a side road that goes over the wall and then runs along giving a view of the wall from the north, these are the images I managed to get.

Getting there: Accessible from small roads that cross the wall, see the map above for details.  Access is also available from Walltown Quarry NY670660, where there is parking. You could also access this section of the wall from Cawfields Quarry going west. See Cawfields Roman Wall and Milecastle 42 for information

You can also get a driving view by following a small road that goes over the wall and then runs along to the north of it, before re-crossing the wall further along at Steel Rigg.

Charges: Access to the wall is free, I have not visited Walltown Quarry and there may be pay and display meters there.
