Ty Mawr Standing Stone

Holyhead, Anglesey

Location Guide

Looking east  Photo by Alan Simkins

This stone, thought to be from the bronze age, stands 9ft (2.9m) high and tapers towards the top. It stands on a slight rise, so is visible from some way.

Located near the Trefignath Burial Chamber it was in open fields but industrial development is now taking place all around it. Ultimately it will be in a small fenced in area within an industrial estate, but at the moment there ere clear views still available.
