Wales National Air Show

1st and 2nd July 2017 Swansea Bay, Swansea, South Wales. This years displays will include the Battle of Britain memorial Flight, Sea Vixen, the Red Arrows, Tigers Parachute Display Team and more. On the ground you will be able to get up close to tanks, try an inflatable assault course, be a pilot in a fighter cockpit and try out helicopters along the Swansea Prom around the Cenotaph.

Throughout the summer for 17 shows, each weekend, there is a 90 minute night time spectacular, with music, fireworks and more taking place at Eleven Arches. It covers over 2000 years of English history from the Vikings through to World War II, through the eyes of a 10 year old boy. It is magical and well worth a visit. We visited in 2016, its first year. World Snail Racing Championships

Swan Upping on The River Thames

17th to 21st July 2017 Each day starts at 9am, and finishes around 5.30pm-6pm. An ancient ceremony which takes place in July each year on the River Thames. The Queen's Swan Marker carries out an annual census and health check on the population of Mute Swans, on behalf of the Queen who owns them. It takes place on a 70 mile stretch of the river, between Sunbury Lock and Abingdon Bridge over 5 days.

29th and 30th July 2017 Heckington Showground, Lincolnshire. Gates Open at 9am. Events taking place include heritage re-enactments, agricultural and traditional shows, but also Jousting and heavy horses, as well as a Firework display and open air concert from 7pm-10pm on Saturday 29th.

Cowes Week

29th July to 5th August 2017 Cowes, Isle of Wight. A sailing regatta with up to 40 races a day. Over 1,000 boats and 8,500 competitors from world class to weekend sailors. Cowes Esplanade provides a good view of the racing. Various activities all week, including a Red Arrows display and Fireworks display to music.

29th July to 5th August 2017 Swanage, Dorset. Starts with seafront procession at 3pm with floats, Caribbean bands, clowns, costume walkers etc. Also 3 firework displays, live music every night and loads more.
